How can I apply for membership for my family?

With B.E.S. you can use our family application forms – they are simple and easy to fill out and they are much shorter than the government form. If you apply directly with the government, you must fill out a separate application for each family member including children and infants.

Can I make a change to my application form once you have submitted it?

If you made an error, you will not be able to correct it once B.E.S. have submitted the application for background and security checks. Instead, you must let the interviewing officer know at your interview that changes are needed.

How do I know if my application has been received?

When you apply to Border Entry Services, you will receive email confirmation from info@borderentryservices.com – please check your junk mail if you have not received this within 48 hours (2 business days) of sending your form. If you do not receive an acknowledgement email. Please get in touch.

How long does it take to get to the interview stage?

Times vary according to the volume of applications received by the government. Generally, your application should be conditionally approved within 12 weeks of submitting it to B.E.S. If you have not received a notification email within 12 weeks of applying, please email interviews@borderentryservices.com

How quickly can I get an interview?

Interview slots vary according to location. Some enrollment centers are so heavily subscribed that it can take up to 6 months to get an appointment; other centers have appointments available every week.

Everyone in my family has been approved for interview except for one member; what should we do?

Each application is processed individually. We strongly encourage applicants to schedule appointments once conditionally approved rather than waiting on a family member.

After my interview, how long will it take to get approval?

Typically, an application can be approved within 1-2 business days. There may be situations where additional information is required, which may delay the approval of an application.

How long will it take for my membership card to arrive?

You should receive your card within 10-12 days after your interview. Your card will be sent to the postal address listed on your application form. If you are applying for Global Entry or TSA Precheck, you will not receive a membership card (unless you indicated on your application, that you wish to use your Global Entry to cross the Mexican land border).

How do I activate my membership card?

When you receive your card, you need to email interviews@borderentryservices.com with the SC number (3 digits) on the back of your card on the left-hand side beneath your PASSID (or a scan of the back of the card). Your card will be activated within 1 business day.

What is an enhanced Driver’s License?

An enhanced driver's license (EDL) is a driver's license that denotes both identity and citizenship. An EDL will include a flag icon identifying the license-holder's citizenship.

How many cars can I enter on a family application?

Both parents can add a vehicle, each vehicle should only be entered once.

I’m a student, but I have worked part-time jobs – should I list them?

Yes! List the dates that you have been a full-time student. Also list your part-time jobs. Your student status can fill gaps in your employment.

Should I list all part-time jobs?

You should list all part-time employment. It is okay to have overlapping employment.

How can I reschedule an interview?

You should email interviews@borderentryservices.com and give 48 hours’ notice. If you need to make a last-minute cancellation or reschedule – you must ring the enrollment center. Cancelling your interview for whatever reason can result in your application being canceled.

What happens if I don’t complete the interview process?

You must complete enrollment within 365 days of receiving your conditional approval. Not scheduling and completing the interview will result in cancelation of the application and no refunds will be granted.
